Emily Sperber has over 14 years of experience in multi-family housing, institutional/higher education, historic restoration, and renovation work. Ms. Sperber’s work has included design to build, with a focus on high-end, multi-family condo buildings beginning with conceptual design and culminating with full-time on-site work as part of the construction management team overseeing the project and schedules.
At MAP, Ms. Sperber is involved in all phases of design and construction. She has worked on new construction projects through the design development phase and into early construction. One in particular is a 142-unit passive house, affordable and senior housing development which is on track for PHIUS certification and is now in the construction document phase where she will be jointly managing the construction administration process. Ms. Sperber is also currently managing several of the firm’s significant supportive housing renovation projects which require an intimate understanding of existing NYC housing stock and building assemblies, in addition to current and historic code research and application. Construction of these projects requires agility in both problem-solving and communication with GCs, consulting engineers, and clients.
