Randolph Houses

New York NY
2011

In response to the New York City Housing Authority and New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development’s Randolph Houses Request for Proposals, the development team proposed the renovation of 36 “Old-Law” tenements in order to meet current zoning regulations.  Since the front facades have to be preserved, the development team will demolish only the back of the tenements to make space to build a new, more efficient structure.

The proposed development is designed to the highest sustainability standards, including a LEED-Homes Midrise Platinum certification and NYSERDA Energy Star and Enterprise Green Communities compliance.
