New York City School Construction Authority
Magnusson Architecture and Planning has maintained a requirements contract with the New York City School Construction Authority since 2006. Currently, MAP is working on projects for six different schools throughout the five boroughs. Responsibilities in each of these projects include Building Condition Assessment Surveys, as well as numerous interior and exterior repairs and additions.
At Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School in Manhattan, we are conducting elevator repairs and brick re-pointing, as well as a roof replacement on the school, which is a landmarked building. At PS 166 in Queens we are enlarging their current library. At the Choir Academy of Harlem we are upgrading the auditorium and repairing the roof. At IS 195 we are repairing and upgrading the gymnasium and gymnasium roof. And at both PS 130 in the Bronx and PS 213 in Queens, we are repairing exterior masonry and parapets.
