In response to the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Broadway Plaza Request for Proposals, the Kinsgbridge Village Crossing development team proposed a mixed-use development consisting of 193 units of housing, retail space, community facility space, public open space and parking.
The retail section of this proposed development would begin with an open public plaza leading into a two-story atrium and promenade. This atrium would be lined with retail stores and restaurants with escalators leading up to multiplex theater on the second floor. Rising above the atrium would be the residential portion which would include the residential units, an activity room, exercise room, laundry room as well as a deck which would extend the roof of the retail section.
The proposed development would be built to the highest sustainability standards, including at least a LEED-Gold certification and NYSERDA Energy Star and Enterprise Green Communities compliance.
