Located in the Fordham Manor neighborhood of the Bronx, this 189-unit affordable housing development includes studios, 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom apartments for those earning between 40% and 110% of AMI.
Designed for energy efficiency, the building envelope will perform better than code standard and mechanical systems will be reduced in size and consumption. The development also includes high efficiency windows, renewable building materials, and high-performance appliances.
Creston Parkview’s masonry exterior is contextual, given the brick buildings that surround it, but the dark gray color offers a contemporary sophistication. The bright yellow and steel colored metal panels help to break the mass and give a more dynamic feel to the facade. Embracing the building’s location, floor to ceiling windows in each elevator lobby allow all residents to share in the views of St. James Park. The building also includes an interior courtyard, and at street level, a generous community space and lobby will occupy most of the ground floor.
