Courtlandt Homes is a townhouse development comprised of 6 two-family and 6 three-family homes located in the Melrose Commons Urban Renewal Area in the Bronx. The first market-rate homes to be built in the area, Courtlandt Homes were developed through New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development’s New Foundations program, with sponsorship from the community organization Nos Quedamos.
All townhouses in the development are three story brick structures. The three-family townhouses have a duplex three-bedroom owners unit on the first and second floors, a one-bedroom unit on the second floor, and a floor through two-bedroom unit on the third floor. Parking for the three-family townhouses is located at the rear of the homes in a ‘group’ parking area. The two-family townhouses have a duplex three-bedroom owners unit located on the first and second floors, and a two-bedroom floor-through unit on the third floor. Parking is located in a garage at grade on the first floor of each home.
A few special features of the Courtlandt Homes include central air-conditioning in all owner’s units, large master suites with sitting alcoves in owner’s units, five-foot setbacks from the street, and landscaped rear-yards.
