In response to the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development’s Bronxchester Request for Proposals, the development team proposed a mixed-use development consisting of 3 buildings with a total of 654 units of affordable housing, community facility space, retail space, a landscaped public plaza and parking.
Building A would consist of 257 units, 24,600 square feet of ground floor retail space and below grade parking. Building B would include 180 units, some of which have a private, secondary entrance directly on the street. Building C would consist of the remaining 217 units, many of which also have a private entrance on on the street, and 4,900 square feet of retail space fronting the landscaped public plaza. Each of the three buildings would include private outdoor and child play area space for residents, a laundry room and community room.
The proposed development wwould be built to the to comply with NYSERDA’s MultiFamily Performance Program for New Construction, NYSERDA Energy Star and Enterprise Green Communities.
