This project consists of 6 sites, totaling approximately 280,000 square feet, on three city blocks in the West Bushwick section of Brooklyn, a part of the City that is ripe for residential development as witnessed by the emerging Rheingold Urban Renewal Area next door. Magnusson Architecture and Planning has been commissioned to assist the Read Property Group in rezoning from M Manufacturing zone to R-7 Residential with a commercial overlay, where appropriate. Working closely with the Brooklyn City Planning Office, we have been extremely successful in proceeding though the City's ULURP process, which is dependent upon the strengths of the proposed urban design. The intent is to attain the highest and best use that the land can yield in order to best serve the residents of Bushwick.
