Rheingold Gardens is a new model community developed on the former Rheingold Brewery site in Bushwick, Brooklyn New York. The site is part of an international planning effort. This existing brown field is environmentally re-planned to create a new “green” mixed-use development by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the New York City Housing Partnership, and the Bluestone Organization.
The two-family homes will consist of a three-bedroom, two-bath owner’s duplex on the first floor and part of the basement level, unfinished space in the balance of the basement, access to a landscaped rear yard and parking space from first floor living room. The second floor will consist of a two-bedroom rental unit. The three-family houses, located at the ends of clusters of two family homes fronting Stanwix Street, will consist of the owner’s three-bedroom, two-bath duplex on the first and second floors – plus unfinished cellar – a one-bedroom rental unit on the second floor and two-family rental unit on the third floor. There will be 28 two-bedroom, one and one half bath and 2 one-bedroom condominium units fronting Renaissance Court. Condominium units will have “green space” in both front and rear of the buildings.
