22 Tarrytown Road, located in the Town of Greenburgh, NY is a 30,000 square foot workforce family development that will include a 3-story, 28-unit multi-family dwelling, as well as a cellar, community room, laundry facility, green roof and parking.
The new development will have positive impacts on the environment. It will include a 6,000 SF green roof to reduce the amount of peak storm water runoff. A portion of the rain water collected will be stored on site for landscape irrigation. The green roof will also offer new habitats for fauna and flora to remain within urban areas, improve the microclimate and reduce dust and smog levels.
The building will have green/high-performance features with smart building technology and will apply for the NYSERDA Multi-Family Performance Program green affordable housing component in order to meet the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria. The project will also pursue a minimum LEEDŽ for Homes Gold certification.
