Jennifer Stencel, AIA, LEED AP
Associate Principal

Ms. Stencel brings over 15 years of professional experience in design and construction for adaptive reuse, rehabilitation, and new developments including sustainable multifamily and senior affordable housing, institutional, and educational buildings. 

Among her many projects at MAP is an award winning adaptive re-use project in Middletown, NY which saw the conversion of an old mill building into a mixed-use development with affordable housing and a job training program. She is currently overseeing the design of 28-story affordable housing building Carmen Villegas Apartments and multiple sustainable retrofit projects. 

Prior to joining Magnusson Architecture and Planning, PC, Ms. Stencel managed several renovations, rehabilitations, and additions including the LEED-Silver renovation of Johns Hopkins University Gilman Hall in Baltimore, MD; the rehabilitation of Orlando International Airport in Orlando, FL; and the renovation and addition of Arcadia University Commons in Glenside, PA. 

Jen is a former Co-Chair of the AIANY Women in Architecture Committee. She received a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, where she served on the Architecture College Council and studied abroad at the Vicenza Institute of Architecture in Vicenza, Italy.
